MAKING HEALTHCARE
MORE ACCESSIBLE WITH A HOME BLOOD TESTING SYSTEM

Bloom Diagnostics is a Swiss HealthTech company with a mission to make healthcare more accessible. It builds patient-centric home diagnostics solutions. Its flagship product allows for the real-time measurement of health biomarkers such as iron and vitamin d, from a single drop of blood; quantitative results are then displayed via the Bloom App.

For the app development I considered the capabilities of the optical reader and laboratory assays at hand and the fact that this type of interaction is new in the market - in addition to user research. The Bloom App is the main touchpoint between the user and the product ecosystem. The Bloom System won the Red Dot Design Award in the Product Design category.

OVerview

Formed and led a   team that developed digital and physical medical products, compliant with the in-vitro diagnostic directive. I also worked with the marketing department to define Bloom’s brand visual style and tone.

As in-house team lead of design, I led the concept validation, UI/UX, branding and overall look and feel of its products.
